“What do you think of a maker?”

 

I’ve asked a lot of people this question, and the most common answer I get is:

 

“Makers are people who like to make things.”

 

That’s true. The literal translation of the word “MAKER” is a person who makes things, and more elegantly, a person who likes to make things. However, if you think about it carefully, does a MAKER really mean a person who likes to make things?

 

I don’t think so.

 

As a maker, you have to be able to program.

 

In the current era, makers use programming to ensoul something, such as stM32 microcontroller programming with the complicated SYNTAX of C, Arduino programming with the simple syntax of C, microPython development board programming or raspberry PI programming with the simpler syntax of Python, Don’t even need to write one line of code, using the graphical programming scratch, in short, programming is the most basic ability of geeks.

 

 

As a maker, you have to draw circuit boards.

 

How can you drag a mess of Dupont lines after the work is functional? It’s so unaesthetic! Of course, makers choose to draw a circuit board by themselves, not only saving a lot of lines, but also printing their own logo on the board, which is super sense of achievement ~

 

 

As a maker, how can you make a shell?

 

When it comes to makers making shells for their work, there’s a lot of finesse.

 

First, let’s talk about 2D shell, such as making a base plate and a cover plate for your circuit board with transparent acrylic, which looks instantly high-end, atmospheric and classy. How to make it? Because of my love for embedded, when I got a new board, I was like a kid with a new toy. The time I was addicted to the board was the most quiet and enjoyable time. I also asked myself many times:
