After being named by @little, my interest in the Nuggets has improved a lot since I was first invited, and I started looking for other nuggets activities that I could attend. Finally, I found this year-end review (thankfully, it’s not over yet). Although I really want to write a random participation award, but after careful consideration, I think my 2021 is really worthy of commemoration and writing, so I have this article.

Let’s start with my relationship with @little Hair.

2021- I become a father

My eldest son would have been born before 2021, but I was so busy at the hospital that I didn’t have a chance to calm down and experience the happiness of being a father.

It wasn’t until I experienced the colic, the crying, the vomiting, and so on that I truly realized the greatness and happiness of being a parent.

One day in June 2021, I went to work and he cried when I was gone. For a time, my eyes were a little wet, I decided to go all out to protect him.

From that day on, I often posted some parenting videos in the family group, what to do and what not to do, and I became what a “parent” should be.

2021- I stayed away from 996

I had planned to change my job even when my daughter-in-law was pregnant. Because my last job was in 996 mode, I want to spend more time with my family after work, but 996 really doesn’t allow me.

Those who have experienced 996 know that they can wash clothes, clean up and take a nap on weekends, and then have to go to work on Monday. It feels like they work around the clock, without a breath of life for a day. Gradually, they have no social activities, and even seldom get together with friends who were close before.

What is unforgettable is that my resignation took nearly three months. Maybe the leader wanted me to leave late on the grounds of core employees, but for an ordinary employee, this directly affected his offer and disrupted his plan, which made me very dissatisfied. Personally, I don’t think employees who leave should be directly listed as objects of no use value, so I quit all work groups and deleted the leader’s wechat as soon as I got the resignation certificate.

Of course I enjoyed getting along with other colleagues.

With the feeling of finally leaving, I joined a newly formed team as the team Leader, whose background is state-owned assets. Here I also formed my own small team, started a new job, and life.

2021- I brought the team

The first time I took charge of the team, I regarded my teammates as my friends, and EVEN felt that I had to serve them and fight for their interests. I didn’t feel it was wrong, but I felt it was right. So for any job, I’m always at the front. There are mostly girls in our group, so I would ask them about their weekend arrangements when they need to work overtime on the line. Only when the project is urgent will I inform them to work overtime together.

Of course, everything didn’t go so smoothly.

Unity of team style

Although our team is small, it is cross-regional, and the Beijing team has a different style from the local team. Beijing is a legacy of the old team, they formed a private solution, the usual temporary solution, I personally do not agree with. From my past experience and personal style, I believe that we should be open and transparent about everything at work (except emotional and family issues among employees). It is too risky to keep things private. And I think a technical solution for a product should be reviewed from the beginning, rather than piecing together a half-baked solution.

So, I pushed for the reform of these two issues, and the effect was very good (the team in Beijing also recognized). But for the old team in Beijing, the final process was not in line with their usual practice. They started to attack, I did not fight back, we still do what we think is right. In fact, I think it is the behavior of the gentleman to bravely accept the good things, rather than resist and resist, because the two reforms did not affect any of their interests. As with front-end technology frameworks, good developers will definitely choose the best. As the business grows, we need to replace the things that didn’t meet the business before.

For a long time their mind was not on the work, unsurprisingly, they left, this is not my ultimate goal. Maybe IT’s because I had too many things to do, but I think there is no problem with what I do, because the current effect is very good, everyone can basically do their own thing, will not often bicker and shirk responsibility, and can leave work on time more than before.

That’s the quality team I want.

Teams open up

Everyone has their own temper, I do, I know my teammates are the same. In a technical training meeting, when I talked about a technical point, my teammate asked me about the principle of this technology. I asked him back, don’t you know? No, he replied. I thought, no way, I’ve told you so many times. Someone else explained it to him, I added, didn’t you listen to me last time? He didn’t answer. Later, I noticed that his expression was speechless and angry (the hidden kind).

The next day, I tried to talk to him, but he just ignored me. I know. Maybe the questioning at the meeting had an effect on him. I’m trying to find a solution.

The next Monday, he was late for some reason, but the morning meeting was over. He came to the office with a conflicted look on his face. He said he had been held up at home. After a while, I heard that he was asking about the morning meeting with his colleague. The morning meeting needed to talk about the risks and progress of work. The colleague told him that the Leader had already reported the progress and risks for you. He looked back at me with a look of relief.

In fact, for each of their work and life, I will be very concerned. So when any of them had a gap, I was the first to help them not to fill it.

That’s the kind of atmosphere I want in my team.

2021- I got signed

In my spare time, I will share my work experience and technical accumulation. By chance, a friend invited me to join a writing platform, and I was lucky to become its contract writer after the examination and review.

In the future, I will continue to share my skills and interesting things in my work. I hope my words can bring you joy and help you a million times.
