CNCF

Cloud Native Computing Foundation (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) is an open source software Foundation of Cloud Native Computing led by Google. It is committed to the popularization and sustainable development of Cloud Native technology. Cloud native technology is a suite of software, specifications, and standards that help enterprises and organizations build and run agile, scalable applications in modern, dynamic environments such as public, private, and hybrid clouds. Containers, microservices, microservice governance, declarative apis are representative cloud native technologies.

CNCF Landscape

(github.com/cncf/landsc…). CNCF is an important project in CNCF, which aims to provide a resource map for cloud native users, helping enterprises and developers to quickly understand the overall picture of cloud native system.

CNCF divides the cloud ecosystem into five layers horizontally, and plans two parts longitudinally for them as the common layer of the five layers horizontally. The five horizontal layers are: application definition and development, Choreography and governance, runtime, provisioning, and cloud infrastructure. The vertical division is divided into two parts: observation and analysis and platform. The integration of these functions will result in a perfect cloud platform service product. The panorama is as follows:

ShardingSphere

On June 28, 2019, Beijing time, Apache ShardingSphere entered CNCF Landscape. It has a place in the panorama App Definition Development-Database field, as shown below.

Apache ShardingSphere in the open source field and cloud native field will continue to expand, continuous improvement, to build organic open source ecosystem!

We also hope that more fans of the open source and cloud native communities will join us and grow the Apache ShardingSphere community and its contributors together.

Apache ShardingSphere (Incubating) has been in open source since 2016, and has been recognized by more and more businesses and individuals: Github received 8,000 + stars, and nearly 100 companies have successful cases. In addition, more and more businesses and individuals are participating in Apache ShardingSphere (Incubating) open source projects, contributing to its growth and development.
