With c-w (kill-region) and c-k (kill-line), you can only copy the clipped text to the cache inside Emacs, away from the current Emacs instance, and unusable, i.e. the clipped text in Emacs is incompatible with the system’s clipboard

2.2 Basic use

Use c-w, c-k to clip and paste the text to the clipboard of the system, and then copy the text in other applications
