0x01: FCITX is installed

0x02: Sets the system input method

 

Sogou input method has supported Ubuntu1604, 1804, 1910, 2004, 2010

The installation steps for each system may be slightly different. Take Ubuntu1804 as an example.

1. Add Chinese language support

Open System Settings — Regions and Languages — Manage installed languages — Under languages TAB — click Add or Remove Languages

The Installed Languages window is displayed. Select Chinese (Simplified) and click Apply

Back to the “Language Support” window, in the keyboard input system, select “fcitx”

Note:

If the fCITx option is not available in the keyboard input system, you are advised to manually install fCITx on the terminal:

sudo apt-get install fcitx

Click “Apply to system” to close the window and restart the computer

The installation is successful and the system restarts

Configure the input method steps

1. Click the icon in the picture below and choose “Configure current input Method”.

2. Click “+” in the lower corner to import sogou input method

3. Select Sogou Personal Input method and click Confirm

4. Select the added Sogou input method and click ^ to make the first one.

After completion, the top right corner of the screen will appear sogou icon, Sogou input method can be used successfully configured.

 

4, log off the computer (restart the system) can normally use sogou input method
