As for programmers, GitHub is definitely a website we deal with a lot of, whether it is usually used a lot of excellent libraries, or some of our own private libraries, what are on GitHub, but GitHub code browsing experience is really a long path, need to keep clicking into, also very slow. Switching files is even more of a disaster, the experience is not so bad.

Octotree is a code browsing plugin, it is an open source project, open source address: Octotree

He supports all the major browsers on the market: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Brave, Opera.

Let’s take a look at what the home screen looks like

This is the default github interface, and the button in the upper left is the entry point after we install the plugin.

Let’s use Octotree to browse the source code of Octotree.

Click the directory to open the secondary directory. Click the file to open the file in the github main window. This is the same as the code we operate in the IDE, without jumping out of the original Github interface page.

This is the most basic functionality, including only code browsing, private libraries, file search, and limited bookmarking

Octotree is also available in Pro, with more themes, font Settings, GitHub enterprise and other features.
