Comic Edition: What is Artificial Intelligence? What is Machine learning? What is Deep Learning? Comic Edition: What is a Neural network?

This article is an interesting and simple introduction to what ARTIFICIAL intelligence is, including its differences from machine learning and deep learning, its characteristics, types and scope. Finally, some interesting applications of artificial intelligence are introduced.

What is artificial intelligence?

Imagine a machine that can organize cupboards to your liking, that can serve everyone in the house, that can order you a cup of coffee and make your day easier.

It’s all artificial intelligence. So why use the term Artificial Intelligence? Because these machines are synthetic, with human intelligence, and can perform tasks just like us.

This intelligence is built using complex algorithms and mathematical functions, but AI may not be as obvious as the previous examples. Ai is already used in smartphones, cars, social media, video games, banking, surveillance and many other aspects of our daily lives.

What is the core role of artificial intelligence?

We build a working robot in the lab, and the AI robot still has to work as expected under different conditions such as light, scenery and site size.

This ability to respond appropriately to new situations is called Generalized Learning.

The robot is now at a crossroads. One of the roads is paved with rocks. The robot has to decide which road to take according to the environment, which embodies the robot’s Reasoning ability.

After a short walk, the robot now comes across a stream that it cannot swim across. Using the plank provided, the robot can cross the river. Our robot can find a solution to the Problem using the given input, which is Problem Solving.

These three abilities (Generalized Learning, Reasoning, Problem Solving) to give robots artificial intelligence.

In short, AI provides machines with the ability to adapt, reason, and provide solutions.

Now that we know what AI is, let’s take a look at the two main categories of AI.

Weak AI (Week AI), also known as narrow AI, focuses on a single task. AlphaGo, for example, is a master of the game go, but you can’t expect it to be good at anything else. This makes alphaGo a weak AI.

You might say Alexa is definitely not a weak AI because it can perform multiple tasks, and when you ask Alexa to play this besito, it will select keywords, play and process IDO, run a program and be trained — Alexa can’t answer non-trained answers

For example, try asking Alexa about traffic from work to home. Alexa can’t provide you with this information because she’s not trained — which brings us to the second type of AI: Strong AI.

Strong AI, much like robots that now only exist in fiction, is the ideal example of the Ultron from The Avengers.

This is because it is self-aware and even eventually produces emotions, which makes the AI’s response unpredictable.

Differences between artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning

You must be wondering how ARTIFICIAL intelligence differs from machine learning and deep learning.

We already know what ARTIFICIAL intelligence is, and it provides machines with the ability to adapt, reason, and provide solutions.

Machine learning is a technology that enables artificial intelligence, and deep learning is a subset of machine learning that provides machines with the ability to learn from data and experiences in ways inspired by the human brain. This means that through deep learning, data and patterns can be better learned.

The future of ai

Ray Kurzweil, a renowned futurist, predicts that by 2045 we’ll have robots as smart as humans, something called the singularity. Well, that’s not all.

Then there’s Elon Musk’s prediction that the implantation of ARTIFICIAL intelligence will enhance the human mind and body, which will turn us into cyborgs.

Since the human brain is still a mystery, it’s no surprise that AI 2 has a lot of unexplored territory. At present, AI is built to cooperate with human beings to make our task easier, however as the technology matures, we can only wait and see how ai will affect us in the future.

A small test

Here’s a question for you: Which of the following AI projects doesn’t exist yet?

A) An ARTIFICIAL intelligence robot with citizenship B) A robot with musculoskeletal system C) an AI that can read the emotions of its owner D) an AI that generates emotions over time

The answers to the quiz are as follows: Option D: AI that generates emotion over time Explanation: So far, no AI that can generate emotion exists. Such AI would be classified as Strong AI, and we haven’t cracked the code yet. Choice D is the correct answer.

  • Saudi Arabia has granted citizenship to AI, named Sophia.
  • Kengoro is an AI robot with a complex muscle system built by a group of Japanese researchers.
  • IBM Watson has the ability to recognize emotions based on speech and base tones.

A, B, and C.
