According to Forrester’s FaaS Platform evaluation report for the first quarter of 2021, Alibaba Cloud Computing stands out in terms of product capabilities, security, strategic vision and market size, ranking first in the world. This is the first time that a Chinese cloud vendor has entered the FaaS leadership quadrant.

As one of the key trends in cloud computing in the next decade, Serverless has shown great potential. Forrester believes that the rise of Serverless computing makes FaaS (Function As A Service) become A new cloud computing capability provision method following IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. It is expected that in 2021, a large number of core applications of mainstream enterprises will migrate from the original mainframe architecture to Serverless.

Last September, Alibaba established the Cloud native Technology Committee to fully embrace cloud native, focusing on container, Serverless, service grid and other technologies to build applications and services more suitable for cloud architecture.
