Recent market may not be very good, see a lot of friends are looking for horses.

But it’s strange to see so many of our friends fail to find the right horse for so long.

When I talked to them, I learned that most of their questions were “I didn’t respond to my resume” or “I didn’t respond to my interview.”

I’ve interviewed a few people in the company over the years,

I have also been interviewed by some large and small companies.

So there are a few things I’d like to share with you about the interview.

From applying for a resume to going to an interview, there are three things to look for.

Here’s a mind map, but it’s even better when viewed with the full text

I can give you three strings of noodles

  1. resume

There are three key points to consider in your resume:

  • Keywords should be rich

The “key words” here are the technical points you have mastered.

Be familiar with MySQL, React, Redi cache, etc.

Why pay attention to this?

Because in most companies, the resume is looked at first by HR. But HR generally does not understand technology, so the technology department will give them some keywords according to the post.

They look at the “frequency” and “degree of mastery” of these keywords in the “skills” and “project Experience” sections to decide whether or not to forward your resume to the technical department.

  • Cleanliness is better than frills

Many friends, especially fresh out of college, look around for a template for their resume. But many templates are either inappropriate or expensive.

But don’t worry. “Don’t expect a template to make your interviewer stand on end.”

As an interviewer, when you’re presented with a stack of resumes, the template you’ve picked all day will look just like everyone else’s.

So out of all the templates out there, you only need one that’s “well formatted and well organized.”

What do you mean by “neat and well organized”? Everyone may have a different understanding, but I think at least the following standards should be met, will not be offensive:

Please accept the Avatar if it looks like a form!

In fact, just like the Chinese teacher asked you to write a good composition to score points is a reason, the interviewer will not be disgusted at the first sight, you will be closer to the offer.

  • Using PDF format

Whether your resume is in Word or psPhotoShop, it can be converted to PDF!

Be sure to use PDF!

Because you don’t know whether the HR over there is using Office 03 or WPS.

Word incompatibility can turn your carefully formatted resume into mud!

PDF doesn’t have this problem! And it will be more formal!

So be sure to use a PDF!

  1. To introduce myself

In general interview, the interviewer always begins with a “self-introduction”.

Many friends are not afraid to be asked about technology, but “are afraid to introduce themselves.”

I get nervous every time I get here. I don’t know what to say.

In fact, there is no need to be too nervous, self-introduction is just a brick to open the door.

The goal of an introduction is to let yourself “relax” by talking about what you know best, and it gives the interviewer the chance to “get to know you” and start asking questions later.

The key points of a good self-introduction are “content” and “expression.”

The “core of content” is the eternal philosophical question:

Who I am, what I’m here for, what I’ve done, what I’ve done.

For example 🌰 :

Hello, my name is Maimaimaizao and I am here to apply for python development. I’ve been working on Python for several years, first as a crawler and then as a Web developer. In terms of Web, I have done an open source project called TrWebOCR, which was written in Tornado. The project involves concurrency and memory overflow. The project provides interfaces for text detection, text recognition, and white background graphs that can be deployed on linux-class servers or Docker. I feel that I can take up the position of Python development on your side, and I hope to be appreciated by you.

The above is just a simple example, we will write according to their own habits, the core or the above philosophical questions.

Let me say it again:

Who I am, what I’m here for, what I’ve done, what I’ve done.

So “what is expression”?

Expression is how you say it when you meet the interviewer.

If you are more introverted, you can write it out first, 100-200 words is ok, the normal speed is about 1-3 minutes.

  1. Speak up

Remember to be “confident and calm” during the interview.

This should be shown when you go into the office and ask the receptionist to check in!

If it’s a little abstract, let’s put it more simply:

Speak loudly and slowly.

Why are you doing this?

Let me tell you a sad story. I had an interview with a friend before. When he was asked about a point that he might not be familiar with, he couldn’t answer. In fact, he should have just said that he was not familiar with this place.

But he just kept his head down and scratched his head… Not a word.

I felt like I was at the South Pole.

So in the interview, speak must be “confident and calm”, encounter don’t understand the place can directly admit that don’t understand, very understand the place that enjoy the performance.

Your confidence communicates confidence in your ability to do a good job.

Take the friend in the example above,

Because of his performance, we are not sure if he can communicate well with the rest of the team,

I’m not sure if he can handle the responsibilities at work.

The interviewer is not going to ask you what happens if something goes wrong in your job,

He’ll only judge by how he feels when he’s interacting with you.

So from the moment you walk in the door to the interview, “speaking with confidence” won’t guarantee you a pass, but it will definitely boost your standing with other candidates.

To summarize

The above mentioned, in a nutshell:

“Pay attention to keywords, typography and formatting.”

Keywords determine whether your resume will pass the HR test, typography determines whether the interviewer is interested in looking at your resume, and formatting determines whether your resume will be muddied by incompatible software.

Self-introduction should pay attention to the content and expression

Content determines how much the interviewer knows about you and expresses your ability to communicate in the eyes of the interviewer

Speak confidently and calmly

Confidence determines how much confidence the interviewer has in you, and ease determines the impression you give the interviewer.

All of that said

They won’t improve your skills much,

But passing the interview can make a big difference.

Finally, I have a feeling

A lot of times when we’re having trouble at work, we feel like we have a stupid boss or a bunch of stupid coworkers.

But suppose we think differently, you think of yourself as the boss. Your boss is your client, and your colleagues are your peers. To go to work every day is to complete the various needs of customers, no matter how bad the peer, do a good job of their own can provide customers with the service.

Would that make a lot of unpleasant things different?

Wish you all get beautiful Offer~
