2. Pressure Curve

These Settings were applied before the Pressure Processing Settings, which are somewhat similar to those you might find in a tablet’s control panel.

They are applied one after another.

If you want to make it easier to reach your trackpad’s maximum pressure value, you should add some Gain and reduce the Softness (Softness) so that the lower pressure value doesn’t suffer too much (this will make it still easy to draw thin lines).

Clicking the Graph button opens a window that displays a Graph of the pressure curve function. This chart shows the average and maximum pressure of your last stroke. The green area below the curve indicates the range of pressure inputs used.

Allows you to easily modify the pressure response curve of the tablet. Now you can easily reach maximum pressure without crushing expensive digital pads and nibs! And, if you want to give it a try, you can even reverse the curve so that hard pressing can make your lines thinner.

gain

This multiplies the input pressure value by a constant gain factor. This helps to generate high pressure values faster and allows you to reach maximum pressure values without having to press hard.

softness

This control applies an exponential curve to the incoming pressure. Zero has no effect. Negative values make it slightly more difficult to obtain high values. Positive values make it slightly easier to get high values.

The following figure shows two examples of pressure response curves.

Minimum, maximum

Represents the minimum and maximum pressure values, with default values 0 and 1, respectively

reverse

Use this setting to reverse the pressure curve. This will allow you to make your line thinner or more transparent (depending on your software and brush Settings) when you press down your pen.

Please note that when using this setting, you need to set a minimum pressure value, otherwise the lines will be clipped when pressed hard enough.

After the reversal

Stroke Average

The Translation of Lazy Nezumi Pro’s Chinese interface is problematic, so I recommend using the English interface

This will show the average input and output pressure values of your last stroke (after applying the curve Settings). If you want to achieve the tablet’s maximum pressure more easily, but keep a feeling similar to a low average, change the softness Settings so that the average output is not much greater than the average input.

Stroke Max

This displays the maximum input and output pressure values (after applying the curve Settings) for your last stroke. If you want to make it easier to reach your tablet’s maximum pressure value, increase the gain Settings so that the maximum output is closer to 1

Automatically adjust

Press this button to switch to automatic adjustment mode. When drawing using this button, your maximum pressure is recorded and used to automatically set gain and softness parameters to maximize the pressure range of the drawing style, while still giving you detailed control over lower pressure values.

After opening it, you should draw a few lines in your usual style. It is important to use your full pressure range so that the gain is set correctly. If you draw more softly than usual, the gains will overcompensate, and then it will be hard to draw fine lines.

Once you’re happy with the Settings, click the button again to turn off automatic adjustment. Then you can fine-tune your Settings
