In 2017, MaxCompute achieved several major technological breakthroughs.

• MaxCompute ADAPTS TPC Benchmark, expands the data scale to 100TB, completes the world’s first BigBench big data benchmark test based on public cloud, and its performance exceeds 8200QPM, realizing the capability of Chinese computing and the world.
• On the basis of offline computing, MaxCompute integrates Lightning Compute interactive computing mode, which shorts the query response to sub-second level under the combination of offline and real-time data, and supports interactive query to meet the real-time scenarios with higher requirements on latency and interactivity.
• MaxCompute(ODPS) architecture upgrade, in NewSQL, rich structure, joint computing platform and AliORC in multiple directions, to build high availability, high performance, high adaptability of open platform.
• Realize storage and computing separation architecture and mixing to improve resource utilization. On November 11, 2017, the online flow peak of e-commerce mixed fabric was 6.5 million transactions /s (20% transaction flow), and ant mixed fabric was 5 million transactions /s.
• The Datahub architecture is upgraded and supports the Double 11 media large-screen service. On Double 11 this year, DataHub carries compressed pB-level data collection, consumption and delivery, and the whole link delay is no more than 2 seconds. For the first time, double-11 data flood peak level strong and consistent cross-room DISASTER recovery can be achieved. When the whole machine room fails, services can be recovered at the minute level, and data can be seamlessly connected.
