Yesterday, I wrote a novel – how to learn (6), which was quite unexpected, although I felt that I wrote in general. When I write, I have a lot of ideas in mind about how to learn, but when I write it down, I feel like I’m missing a lot. I have been reading a lot of books on how to learn, and I have been learning and thinking and summarizing a lot of content. I also have a mind map that records all aspects of my understanding of how to learn. However, I am still not good enough in writing skills or in sorting out and practicing my study, and I still cannot express the effect I want. But it doesn’t matter, practice, slowly practice writing, slowly sort out the knowledge, will always achieve the effect I want. Ok, yesterday we talked briefly about how to learn, so today WE want to talk about how to use the learning methods mentioned yesterday to learn writing. Because even if every day practice, also will not achieve the desired effect, we have to add deliberately two words, improve their writing difficulty.

Fragment writing knowledge input

After I finished writing yesterday, I always felt that something was not properly expressed. Then I found this five-year summary of a programmer in several articles on the front page of nuggets sauce, which gives you a different perspective. There are two aspects that attract me.

One is the content written by the author. The author has worked for five years and has a project of more than 10,000 stars on Github. Moreover, this project has also led to the author’s communication with foreign friends and extended his influence to the international community. I could feel that this was in line with what was most important to me, making a valuable product, and I was going in that direction.

Another is the author’s writing style. There is a saying that “when you hold a hammer, everything you see is a nail.” I really studied the writing skills of this article. Here is a short excerpt from my essay comparing the differences between my essay and this one.

As indicated in the picture, I summarized four points.

  1. Marking proper nouns: Use Markdown syntax to mark articles with proper nouns
  2. Important Content tagging: Boldface important sentences in paragraphs to let others know the main points of your text
  3. Reference tag: When a reference is used in a paragraph, use the reference tag
  4. Tabular presentation: Use an ordered list to mark important points

These simple writing techniques convey an important core of your writing and make it easier for others to understand what you are writing.

There are also writing skills that you will notice earlier

  1. Have a cover image: Pictures are always more visual than words
  2. Links: When there are links, use links so people can see what you’re talking about in detail
  3. Code snippets: If there are code snippets, use Markdown’s code snippets, otherwise the code will not be formatted and will not be easy to read
  4. The right title, the right line break, that sort of thing

So even if some basic writing skills to supplement and sort out, after the article on their own with these requirements, deliberate practice, should be more decent than before.

From now on, I will write an article here every day, with no limit on subject matter, content or word count. Try to put your daily thoughts into it.

What I mentioned today is just basic skills, but the collection and arrangement of materials is what I lack most in my current article. How can I collect and recombine the contents of a topic as much as possible?
