Cloud native applications based on container technology and container choreography are being accepted and used by more and more enterprise users, and the proportion of container technology used in production environments is increasing year by year. As an open source container hybrid cloud for applications, KubeSphere has gained more than 100 open source contributors, more than 100,000 downloads, and thousands of community users using KubeSphere as an enterprise container cloud platform after 3 years of development and 10 iterations.
KubeSphere has been able to grow so quickly thanks to the natural advantages of the open source community and the active users and contributors who have been actively involved in the community to help drive the product and community to grow so quickly. We insist that every user and contributor in the KubeSphere open source community is an important part of the KubeSphere ecosystem.
In order to have close communication with old and new friends in the community, the community plans to bring technical exchanges and collisions in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing from May to July. KubeSphere 3.1.0 has been integrated with Apache APISIX in the App Store. After the successful conclusion of Shanghai and Hangzhou, the KubeSphere community will be co-hosted with APISIX and with other partners such as CNCF, Continuing the theme of KubeSphere and Friends, we will bring you Kubernetes and Cloud Native Meetup in Chengdu on June 19th.

Introduction of Apach APISIX
Apache APISIX is a dynamic, real-time, high-performance API gateway that provides rich traffic management features such as load balancing, dynamic upstream, grayscale publishing, service meltdown, authentication, observability, and more.
APISIX was created by China’s Tributary Technology (API7.ai) in April 2019, opened source in June and entered the Apache incubator in October of the same year. The name of the corresponding commercial product is api7 :). APISIX is designed to handle large numbers of requests and has a low threshold for secondary development. In terms of its main features and characteristics, Apache APISIX can replace Nginx in dealing with north-south traffic, as well as acting as the Istio control plane and Envoy data plane in dealing with east-west traffic.
