preface

This is the first time I’ve actually written an annual review, something I’ve always wanted to do but didn’t do. I hope I can review my study, work, life and growth in the past year and make plans and prospects for the next year through the annual summary every year.

Who am I

I am a student of Literature, 2021 fresh graduates, the whole network unified ID: LeviDing, 95 years old, northeast people. Currently, I am the director of modern JavaScript tutorial, the operator of the daily question of technical Talk and programming, the former director of The Translation program of Gold Digger, and I have interacted in Ali Cloud, Gold Digger and Modao. I majored in embedded development as an undergraduate and machine learning as a master. Now I am engaged in front-end development and strive to become a full-stack developer, hoping to make products that contribute a little to the world. Like travel, photography, cycling, reading, movies, console games.

2020 review and summary

My 2020 timeline

  1. From early January to mid-January: Stay in school until January 15, 2020, when the school will have winter vacation and go home;
  2. From Mid-January to early August: Due to the outbreak of the epidemic, I stayed at home until the beginning of August this year, mainly doing school work, maintaining open source projects, learning front-end and looking for jobs.
  3. Early August to early September: Beijing Ink knife internship, front-end development, autumn recruitment;
  4. From early September to late December: In school, do school things and finish autumn recruitment.

technology

This year, I learned front-end knowledge systematically. I went through JavaScript and learned React. However, there are still many shortcomings and shortcomings. 2021 will focus on React related projects, ECMAScript specification, CSS, Node.js and other aspects.

work

This year I didn’t take part in the spring recruitment, but directly took part in the autumn recruitment. I think I am very lucky. I started to take the written test in early August, began to have interviews in the middle of the month, and began to receive letters of intent and offers in late August. I completed all the interviews and received most of the expressions of interest in mid-September, and received all the expressions of interest in late September. Salary negotiation and signing in October and November, and three-way signing in December.

In general, I only sent one batch, interviewed about ten companies, and received eight offers from Aliyun, Pinduoduo, netease, JINGdong, Good Future, Douyu, SF Express and Xiaopeng Automobile, including several SP. Finally, I signed aliyun. I got the company I wanted to go to, so I didn’t invest in other companies, like Tencent, Baidu, Kuaishou, Didi and other companies. I feel that my technical level is actually quite poor. Thanks for the interviewer’s recognition of me. The interview experience was very good and I benefited a lot.

The open source project

Most of my open source projects this year have been modern JavaScript tutorials. The project was created in April 2018, so far there are Watch: 101, Star: 4133, Fork: 612. Over the past year, Star numbers have doubled from more than 2,000 to more than 4,000.

This year, I re-translated the whole tutorial, which cost a lot of time and energy. Of course, I also gained a lot and helped a lot of students. Now there is only a small part left to optimize, the next thing to do is to optimize the rest of the content, follow up and update the tutorial, and fix some of the problems found.

Community influence

This year, we will do three things in this regard.

  1. Technical chatter about creating and operating the Nuggets, with 2035 followers as of this writing;

  1. Continuous operation of wechat public account technology chat since 2020-06-25, 4000+ followers as of writing this article;

  2. I organized and participated in the translation of the book Python Machine Learning, which entered the final stage of publication revision.

We-Media

We media includes but is not limited to wechat official accounts. I made my first income through we-media on July 6, 2020. So far, I have earned 19,910 yuan in the past 7 months. All the ads I receive are screened, and none of the deceptive ads are accepted.

Of course, I firmly believe that people should give up, give up to gain. So THIS year I gave away about 1,500 yuan worth of books and about 3,000 yuan in red envelopes through my official account and wechat moments. In the following year, I hope to bring more benefits to those who follow me.

This year, I have done 6 book-sending activities, 6 mutual tweets on public accounts (the first one on 2020-10-29), and about 5 mutual tweets on moments of friends.

academic

I have written an annual summary of what I have done in school. What is meaningful to me is that I have completed a big paper and submitted it to IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, expecting a good result.

financial

In my opinion, the market is the most important factor influencing financial returns, followed by personal value orientation and trend judgment. In the early days of the outbreak, when stocks tanked, I didn’t cut but added to my positions, especially in consumer and healthcare.

Because as people’s living standards improve and the population ages, the demand for medical care is bound to grow. Consumption has been greatly weakened by the epidemic, but it will surely recover gradually after the epidemic. And under the macro control of expanding domestic demand, the future of the consumption plate can be expected. Of course there is gambling, but there is underlying logic.

The market is good in 2020. My initial position distribution is not very good, but gradually adjusted and optimized, and the annual yield is 34.74%. The one-year and a half months before the Spring Festival of 2021 yield 15.04%, the overall is about 50%.

life

I have seen a lot of movies this year. So far, I have seen most of the good movies in China and most of the foreign movies. Then read a book, watch a movie, and write it down in douban, so you can have a statistic.

This year, I bought more than 20 Switch game cassettes, and now there are more than 50. I feel that my collection accounts for a larger proportion, and I don’t have time to play so much 😂

The most played games this year were The Legend of Zelda and Animal Club, which combined for around 700 hours.

This picture is playing Zelda when the deepest impression is also the most moving scene, this game is too long, just played a small part, the forest fish, beat strange, cooking, is not to save the princess 😂

Finished the school’s work as vice chairman of the student union, to engage in technology, engage in learning.

Outlook 2021,

Having concluded 2020, look forward to 2021. The following is not a list of flags, but the key investment directions for this year.

  1. Complete the graduation thesis and defense, the successful graduation;
  2. Improve front-end technology, start work as soon as possible after graduation. I hope to successfully pass the probation period and make contributions to the team.
  3. Maintain modern JavaScript tutorials, output more quality content, and maintain the “Technology talk” public account;
  4. Do the open source project of “Daily Programming question” and the wechat public account;
  5. Learn node.js and Java related back-end knowledge, it is best to do a “front-end + back-end + algorithm” comprehensive technology open source project;
  6. Continue to learn financial management, income targets are uncertain, market factors are too large;
  7. Home Internet of things;
  8. At least one long journey;
  9. Try to be more proactive and get to know more people;
  10. Reading a book;
  11. Brush more LeetCode, exercise programming thinking;
  12. Start making modern JavaScript tutorials video, and do other related short and long videos as well.
