What is expedited audit
First, submit binaries to the App Store for Review by the App Store Review team. Here’s an official quote I got from them:
On average, More than 50 percent of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90 percent are reviewed in 48 hours. More than 90% of applications were approved within 48 hours.
With my personal experience, if you are in China, then generally speaking, the application submitted on the first morning is likely to be approved in the early hours of the next day. Apps submitted after noon on the first day will have to wait until the wee hours of the third day or the night of the next.
Most are in the second case, which means it can take a full day from submission to review, or longer if it’s a weekend in the US. So, if you have a special situation, like your App has a serious bug or crashes on launch, then you can apply for expedited review. Of course, expedited audit is also to queue up, but the number of queue is much less.
Many people’s misunderstanding
A lot of people have some ambiguity about expedited audit, here is a detailed explanation:
- That the number of expedited audit is very limited, it can not be used up. However, there is no official limit to the number of times, only that we hope that you do not abuse expedited review, so that you will not be allowed to use it when you really need it, but there is no quantifiable mechanism to limit you. (of course, convenient oneself also convenient peer, we still don’t abuse it)
- It was thought that the expedited review would begin as soon as it was approved. But the team that decides whether to give you an expedited review, and the team that gives you an expedited review, are two different teams. So after you agree to expedited review, you still need to wait in an expedited queue from dozens of minutes to several hours.
- In the state of expedited review, if your App is rejected, you do not need to apply for expedited review again. You are already in the expedited channel until you finally pass the review. This will be repeated every time you apply.

At that time, I told them with tears in my eyes that Baidu was cheating people. This app could not be checked again, and there would be more people cheated, so the green light was given for the whole process of the audit… It took me one day to make the App and one day to expedite the review. It took me two days to launch the App. Therefore, this App became the first App targeted at Putian Hospital on App Store. On the day of launch, there was no promotion and more than 10,000 downloads.
