In recent days, photos of the 18-year-old have flooded my wechat moments. Looking at my young self, I can’t help but sigh, how time flies! In a blink of an eye, there is only one day left in 2017. At the end of the year, of course, to write a summary for themselves, in the past year, we harvest what, and what deficiencies?

About Blogging

In 2017, the third year of my work, I lost the youth of 18 years old and the youthful vigor of my recent graduation. When I just graduated, I felt very impetuous. At the beginning of this year, I made up my mind to write a blog to summarize precipitation technology and forge ahead steadily. After a year of persistence, there are now more than 40 original technical blogs. I keep an average of one post per week, and my blog has a good number of visits and likes on platforms like Jane Book and Nuggets.

Jane book, 2k+ fans, 3K + like:

Gold digging platform, 8K + fans, 1.1W collection, 21W traffic.

What I want to say about blogging is that it’s hard to write a good technical blog. It takes a lot of time and effort to first understand the basics, then write the demo in code, and then structure the article. How to write in easy to understand words so that others can understand (we may also intersperse some schematic diagrams, flow charts, effect drawings, etc.). These are also some suggestions for those of you who are just starting out.

In 2017, I spent a lot of time blogging about technology, but I think it was worth it. I personally think that a technical point that you can learn on your own can be quickly forgotten, but if you can write it as a blog, it will make us remember it more deeply. Blogging has not only helped me summarize and precipitate the technology myself, but also helped other developers. What’s more, it makes me form the habit of writing, which is very important. For those of you who haven’t started blogging yet or are thinking about it, set yourself a goal for 2018.

About making

Github is a great place to be a programmer. There are a lot of great open source projects on Github, and OVER the past year, I’ve opened some projects on Github as well

Due to the busy second half of the year, I have not invested much time in the maintenance of open source projects. In 2018, I will continue to maintain the output and maintain the open source projects.

About the operation of public number

In July this year, I started to run my own personal technology public account [Android Technology Grocery store]. From a little white person who knew nothing about operation, I gradually began to explore and learn tools by myself. Up to now, I have published more than 100 articles in about 5 months, with about 4K followers.

Although fans quantity not many, but I will do it better, in addition to their own original technology, occasionally send push some authorized technology piece, ensure the quality of the article, try to live up to your fragments of time, operating the public issue of original intention is to help more people grow technology, 2018 will continue to work hard to run public number.

As a programmer, operation is a brand new field, which is both an opportunity and a challenge for me. I think it will be very beneficial for my career to jump out of the programmer’s thinking and learn more about products and operation logic.

About work and deficiencies

In the second half of 2017, I also changed my job and joined a startup company, so THE whole second half of 2017 was very busy. Due to limited time and energy, working too busy also leads to relatively little time to invest in other areas. Missing aspects:

  • Writing: Before September, the official account kept the daily shift. After September, the 996 overtime mode began, with less free time, so the frequency of the official account was reduced.

  • Keep learning: To stay competitive, you need to keep learning. At the beginning of the year, I set myself to read 30 books this year, but I have only finished a few books now.

  • Learning about new technologies: Technology is changing fast now, and Kotlin was promoted by Google this year, so kotlin has become very popular, and I’ve been trying to find time to learn Kotlin. In addition, plans to learn Python have been put on hold.

For the time being, there were gains and shortcomings in 2017, but that has all become the past. In 2018, we are ready to set new goals for ourselves, and at the same time, we will continue to complete the unfinished goals in 2017. In the New Year, I hope we can live as we want to be.
