Twitter revealed that the dark Internet is selling a large number of account information of several Chinese banks. After investigation by reporters, this package price of 3,999 DOLLARS contains 900,000 account information of Agricultural Bank of China, and another account also claims to sell 20 data packets. It includes data from one million bank accounts, 12 million startup directories, 200,000 Chinese ceos, and more.

According to the Twitter account @Bank Security, a large amount of domestic Bank data is being sold.


After investigation by reporters, the package price of $3,999 includes 900,000 account information of Agricultural Bank of China.

Another claimed to sell 20 packets of data, It includes 1,000,000 bank account data (800,000 bank customer data of Bank of Shanghai, 460,000 credit card data of Industrial Bank of China, 200,000 VIP customer data of Shanghai Financial Management, 100,000 customer data of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank), 1,000,000 directory of Chinese start-up companies, 200,000 personal information of Chinese CEO, etc.

According to incomplete screenshots posted online, the messages contained customers’ names, gender, age, ethnicity, mobile phone numbers and home addresses.


Different provinces and regions are also marked in the screenshot folder.

Deal two: 20 packets, huge amount of content

Another piece of data with no price tag is even more striking, with 20 packets clearly visible in the screenshot, each of which is extremely sensitive.

The 20 pieces of data include 800,000 customers of Bank of Shanghai, 460,000 credit card information of Industrial Bank of China, 200,000 VIP customers of Shanghai Wealth Management and 100,000 customers of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.


The leaked data included sensitive personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers and the businesses they run, according to a photo accompanying the account.

There are also 12 million directories of startups, including company names, corporate names, registered addresses, and business scope, which are close to the scope of enterprise information such as Tianyan Search.

And 200,000 personal details of Chinese ceos, including the CEO’s name, gender, mobile phone number and company name.

The screenshots also include 1.2 million Chinese VPN databases.

The dark Web is trading

The account that exposed the information was a Twitter account called Bank Security (@bank_Security).


The user was secretive on the social network and focused on sharing security information related to global banks.

He is also keen to teach technical content about information security or cyber attacks on Github and Medium.
