As we all know, as an experienced programmer programming for Github & Stack Overflow, the first place to look for the answer to a problem is St.

Don’t laugh, it’s all backed up by data from official Go user surveys that show Stack Overflow is the number one place Go developers look for answers to their questions.

The Go team partnered with Stack Overflow to create Go Collective, the first open source project for Stack Overflow on Collective™.

Benefits of the Go Collective:

  1. Faster search for more reliable answers;

  2. Centralize all product information

    The Go Collectives page on Stack Overflow brings together all the questions, answers, and content related to Go and related labels. There will be links from the collective to key Go sites, and the Go site will direct viewers to the Stack overflow of the Go collective.

  3. Explore the latest technology trends

  4. Gain recognition

    The Collective on Stack Overflow recognizes your contributions to the community. You can access a leaderboard through the Go Collective (see the “Members” TAB) and see trusted contributors designated as accredited members. If you are interested in becoming an accredited member, you can send an email to [email protected].

Stack Overflow is the largest technical problem search community, and for Gopher, the Go Collective will improve the Stack Overflow experience when solving Golang problems.
